As I was thinking about life, it is about extremes and jumping between them to enjoy it.
After yesterdays bad bad movie, here comes a little masterpiece.
Little Otik is the story of a couple, that could not have children. Until one day they pick a root in their garden that looks like one and carry it into their home.
The root comes to life and in the end we learn the story is actually a fairytale - retold as a movie.
With thousands of years behind them no wonder fairytales provide good stories; maybe in a couple of thousand of years Hollywood would also produce a dozen or so good stories.
But for me the main character is the little girl that becomes Otiks neighbour.
You will not waste your time if you watch this movie, the music is great - especially at the open finale.
This beeing said I'll stop before jumping into any interpretation. (wich I find not very useful)
Also the images remind me of... my home during the period I grew up.
All in all, a super movie.
